Ok so I have to get this off my chest. I tried to muster myself into being creative and write a poem about this, but the process of squeezing my brain for a few verses failed terribly. I’m stressed. For every minute that I felt happy and liberated from the horrid images occupying my head, there were ten minutes that I felt unhappy and trapped. Looks like I couldn’t handle this as well as I thought I could, which leaves no one at fault but myself. I feel like I’m forced to lift the weight of the world with a stamped smile across my face. I could’ve lived.. I could’ve survived being in the dark and not knowing what I know now, but it’s a little too late to even utter that thought.. and I’m left here alone, empty, and so dead inside.

God, I can barely remember when we were strangers and all I knew was your name. And I could sit next to you, and not feel a thing.
